Thornefolk Solutions is a small women's collective based in Bridgeport, Connecticut, that specializes in fragrant bath soaks and body balms. We make all of our bath solutions and body balms in small batches to ensure quality, and test every single batch. We do our very best to do business with reputable companies who use ecologically sensible business practices, and we use the most eco-friendly packaging available to us.

Most of our products come packaged in glass or tin containers. Our cellophane bags and pixie stick tubes are derived from plant materials, not plastics. In addition to using post-consumer recycled and reused items wherever we can, we offer a refill credit on any item packaged in glass or tin. (At present, this is only available for local shoppers, due to cost of shipping back containers.)

Hi there! First of all, let me just say how nice it is to receive a personalized reply to every order. You guys really care about customer satisfaction.

Okay, now for the reviews: So far, the Drunken Faerie scent balm has been my favorite. It has an almost rootbeer-ish scent. I gave out a few tins of it as Xmas presents, and everyone loved it.

Another gift that went over well: The Geoff, God of Biscuits White Chocolate Body Butter. I gave this to my mom, and she is just over the moon about it. It has really cleared up the dry skin on her hands, which is such a problem for her in winter. Plus the smell is divine- she took it to work and everyone wanted to know where she'd gotten it. Also, how awesome is it that you named a product after an Eddie Izzard routine?! You guys are fantabulous. (Have you thought about adding a 'Cake or Death?' balm? 'Cause you know I'd buy it.)

Absinthe balm- whoa. This stuff is *strong* I get all sorts of responses when I'm wearing it, from "What the hell is that?" to "OMG, what is that green glitter, I must have some!" The scent is really unique, sort of licorice-y with maybe a hint of some kind of herb. But it's definitely a going-out-on-the-town scent, not for going to work wear. (That's when I use the Drunken Faery.)

The peppermint bath salt Pixie Stick would have made a great stocking stuffer, but I liked the scent so much I kept it for myself. I love getting out of the tub smelling like mint. Also it dissolves really well, which is sometimes a problem with bath salt-type things, but I was pleasantly surprised at not having to scrub it off when I was done.

Finally, the slider tins: I love them. They are so compact and handy, plus they have an old-fashioned look/feel to them which is unique, none of this plastic bottle stuff everybody's got these days.

I can't wait to try out the Ginger Peach, I'm sure it'll be great. The Pirate balm is a gift for a friend, since I can't stand the taste/smell of rum, but she loves it. Your company has been nothing short of miraculous; unique stuff for great prices, what more could anyone ask? Thanks again, and I hope my reviews help you out.
